Lucy Lawless hails from New Zealand and is an actress also a musician, singer, and performer. She's most popularly recognized in her craft for her notable performances in a variety of top-rated television shows and films, such as Xena: Warrior Princess, Spartacus: Blood and Sand, Spartacus: Gods of the Arena and Spartacus: The Vengeance. The most well-known of her roles is her performance as Xena. Lucy was cast in the role originally intended for Vanessa Angel, but she was unable to attend because of health issues. The character was the most watched TV shows during the period when the show aired. Her success in the role of Xena resulted in a spin-off show that was launched in September 1995.
